Wireline Drilling EMG currently has on-going exploration drilling operations in the Caucasus, Africa and Europe. We specialise in offering high quality services with full Health and Safety compliance. Clients include Alcoa, La Farge, EMED, Castle Cement, Imerys, Anglesey Mining, Madnueli Mining, Axmin, Lydian Resources, Aggregate Industries and British Gypsum.

Current capabilities include:

Crawler, truck and skid mounted Atlas Copco CS14, Sondeq SS71, Longyear 44 and Boyles 56 wireline coring rigs with capacity for coring in NQ to 1100m;
Geotechnical rigs capable of conventional coring to depths in excess of 150m;
Full range of wireline core sizes from ‘SQ’ to ‘NQ’;
Down-hole surveying service.

Our operations are are comleted under direction of our highly experienced drilling superintendents and staffed by some of the best wireline drillers around. EMG can also provide experienced drilling staff on a consultancy basis to manage or troubleshoot Clients' projects.

Exploration drilling contract experience includes:

Kosovo - 2,000m of HQ coring in volcanics to 300m max depth for gold exploration with renewed contracts for 2008;
Anglesey, U.K - 1,500m programme of HQ & NQ exploration coring at the Parys mountain zinc-copper-lead prospect;
Kenya - 1,300m of HQ sized wireline coring to 150m below ground level for limestone exploration;
Georgia - Over 5,000m of HQ & NQ sized exploration & geotechnical coring at the copper-gold prospects at Sagdrisi, Kasreti and the existing Madneuli open pit - renewed contracts for 2008;
Ketton, Rutland, U.K - 3 phases of drilling for limestone exploration at Ketton cement quarry. Total of over 70 boreholes with 1,600m of 412 sized conventional core drilling;
East Midlands, U.K - Ongoing exploration programme of HQ coring for Gypsum exploration to 150m depth. Over 2,000m completed with renewed contracts for 2008.;
Armenia - Over 3,000m of HQ & NQ sized coring to over 450m depth for gold exploration;
Slovakia - 1,300m of HQ sized wireline coring to 150m depth as part of pre-feasibility study for low-grade, bulk-mineable porphyry gold prospect;
CAR, Senegal & Mali, W.Africa - Wireline exploration drilling programme.
