Paul Emerson - Director / Principal Engineering Geologist
Paul is a Chartered Geologist with 15 years post-graduate experience in Geology, Civil Engineering and Engineering Geology with a first degree in Geology and a Masters degree in Engineering Geology. His experience with both consulting engineers and contractors includes several years directional drilling experience on major civils projects as well as site investigation, geotechnical design and environmental remediation.
Jeremy Moore - Director / Principal Engineering Geologist
Jeremy is a Chartered Geologist with over 13 years post-graduate experience in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics with a first degree in Geology and a Masters degree in Engineering Geology. Experience gained in the civils, mining and offshore oil sectors has provided wide-ranging experience in both site investigation and design. Notable projects include major rock slope stability remediation, highway design, foundation design and oil rig foundation assessment as well as chemical works groundwater contamination assessment.
Colin Benjamin - Director / Drilling Superintendant
Colin has spent over 38 years in the drilling industry, and is one of the most experienced rotary drillers in the UK. Project experience ranges from small scale site investigations to deep wireline core drilling on major investigations. Time spent as drilling superintendent with one of the UK’s largest site investigation contractors provided extensive experience in the management of major site investigations.
Andy Capes - Senior Engineering Geologist
Andy has over 10 years post-graduate experience in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics with a first degree in Geology and MSc in Enginering Geology. Experience gained in the civils engineering working for both ground investigation contractors and consultants carrying out ground investigation, geotechnical instrumentation, interpretative reporting and geotechnical design. Notable projects include geotechnical design associated with the Dublin Port Tunnel and a broad range of geo-environmental projects.
Gabriel d'Francesco - Senior Exploration Geologist
Gabriel has 11 years post gradate experience in Explorational and Engineering Geology with a degree in Geology from U.N.L.P. National University in La Plata, Buenos Aires, an MSc in Engineering Geology as well as post graduate courses in Structural Geology and Ore Deposit Genesis and Tectonincs. He has broad ranging experience of mineral exploration in South America encompassing grass roots exploration to deposit feasibility assessment.
Jim Fonquernie - Exploration Drilling Superintendent
Jim has over 30 years of drilling experience, 10 of which has been spent supervising drilling programmes across Europe and Africa. Notable projects include investigation drilling for long-term nuclear waste stores in Cumbria, wireline and RC gold exploration projects across eastern Europe and Africa to 640m depth as well as extensive offshore site investigation work for the oil industry.
Brian Wyn Jones - Exploration Drilling Superintendent
Brian has spent almost 30 years in the drilling industry operating drill rigs, supervising drilling projects and training drillers worldwide. He has broad ranging experience of mineral exploration drilling projects including a full range of coring and RC exploration systems, wedging and directional drilling. Notable projects include over 3 years spent wireline and conventional coring to 500m depth across Africa and 2 months spent teaching RC techniques to local drillers in Yemen.
